This month begins the new format that has been adopted by the Pea Ridge Fire Department. Each full-time member of the department shall complete the training that corresponds with rank. ie, Firefighter shall complete the Fire Company Drills along with the Hazmat Drills. Every driver will complete the Driver Operator Drills and each Officer shall complete the Officer Development competencies. Each drill shall be logged as a minimum of two hours. When hands on drills are completed quickly, SOG review, Videos, and Table Talk can be utilized to meet the two-hour standard. It is recommended that only two FCDs be completed during a rotation but shall ultimately be at the discretion of the C.O. The C.O also has the ability to require personnel to complete any level of training they choose. Each drill should be perfected before moving to a new one. If questions arise, please reach out to a member of the Training Division.

EMS Training for January, February, and March 2024
An EMS Refresher Course will be held during the first three months of 2024. This will allow for time to recertify all personnel as needed and give you the CEUs you need for future re-certification.
AHA Certification courses will be taught in January 2024. This includes BLS HCP, ACLS, and PALS. You MUST complete the “Precourse Self-Assessment” for ACLS and PALS prior to coming to class and have the printed out results with you; No Exceptions. These courses are laid back and done in a comfortable setting. We strive for you to achieve a 100% score on the Precourse Self-Assessment.
